Fred and Lisa own the Shady Grove portion of the property, and have spent the past several years creating unique areas that make great wedding photos. Lighting and background are the important elements in photography, so they have tested each area during different seasons and times of day. Here are some examples:

This door is from a 100 year old building from the Gatesville downtown square and brides love the creativity we capture with it. Depending on the time of year we place it at locations that take advantage of the light and interesting background.

This old truck has been in the family for over forty years and Fred actually received his first ticket while hauling grain for the family business. The groomsmen love it and the kids have fun with it also!

The fifteen acre costal hay field makes a fantastic backdrop. Our goal isn't to fit you into our props, but to capture your personality and create a photo that will do that for you, so feel free to show up with your horse and boots!

Whether it is the bride and her father sharing a few moments before the "I do's" or the intimate atmosphere after the ceremony, we have created an environment to capture those special memories of your day! Our property is perfect for this type of intimate photography because, within moments of the ceremony, we can sweep you away to complete privacy to get these shots away from the crowd.
